About Levi
A strength that I have in design and engineering is being persistent, I notice that there are times where a design I have doesn't work out, and I am forced to make changes on the spot. Something I think I can work on is not getting distracted and when I am working (especially with machinery) I give full focus to what I am working on to make sure I don't hurt myself or someone else.
3 things I want to commit to this semester
Giving good detailed context to my documentation photos
When working with machinery, have full focus and don't pay attention to anything else
Make sure to ask for permission to work with certain tools and remember which tools I don't need approval for, and which ones I do.
PCB Idea Drawings
The design we chose was a rocket ship. Niam and I both really liked this one because I though a space ship would be cool and Niam wanted something with codable lights. So this was a good match with codable lights at the bottom and a window, as well as a typical rocket shaped body.
PCB Design Prototypes
These are Niam and I's board, 3D design, and schematic design. We made a rocket ship where there are 5 lights placed at the flame to act as the fire boosting it up, and one light in a window to represent the crew. I will remember how to export a file from rhino to be able to import it into a software like fusion.

Post-it Feedback
A few things to remember from these feedback post-its are to add some cool effects to make it feel real like possibly lights or an audio effect pre programmed like an F1 car. Overall I think this feedback will become really helpful as the project starts so I will be making sure to keep all this in a place where I can come back to it later.
Phase 2 Drawing
I think this is a great to design and build because it combines a passion of mine with a fun but challenging project. Because I love this design so much I know that even in hard times I will be able to push through and find alternitave routes. I am challenging my skill set by making a big but semi-detailed speaker so that I need to push out a large portion of quality work during this period.
Fully Finished 3D Design
So far this project is off to a stable but slow start, a lot of the build requires heavy attention to detail making it hard to work at a steady pace. I will likely have to be doing some work after school but in terms of the actual design it is going really well and now I need to figure out what parts I am doing with what materials.
Cardboard Prototype
My idea is an F1 car where the speakers are in the back and the wiring and such are inside of the cockpit. Something I learned from my prototype is that I must have a sufficient way of wiring the speakers onto the back wheels and through to the cockpit area so that it does not stick out and fits well. I think I just need to put holes in the back area to let wires in and out in order to fix this problem.
Amp Circuit on Breadboard
I now understand that you need the wires to be plugged in hard and in accurate position for the board to work correctly. Something that is a complete mystery to me is why we use alligator clips instead of regular wires. I looked it up and found that the main reason is for temporary connections, rather than a more long term wire.
PCB Design + Schematic
I worked with Treesha, we learned how the schematic connects to the code and overall how they work together.
Digital Project Description
The idea for my digital project is that I will have a microphone close to my speakers that is connected to a long LED light to show the volume and will look cool. I will need a microcontroller, microphone, and 2 LED lights for this design. It will most likely be standalone and not connected to my speakers to keep things simple.
