I am open to new ways of thinking and experiences
Sometimes when I am discouraged I stop working on the task at hand because I do not want to fail
I will take many photos of the process
I will add my own thoughts and reflections through the process of creation
I will work on adding many steps to show a clear story to my creations
We based our design on bioluminescent fish (as they can light up)
Me and Allison worked hard on our project
The fish is designed so the scales are the lights and the fish can turn on with the flip of a switch.
One thing I want to remember about printed circuit board design is that the planning stage is very important, that I shouldn't treat it as something that can be done easily.
the design is supposed to represent traditional chinese ceramics, blue acrylic shown under the wood to represent water. The outside will be painted white with blue accents to further represent ceramics.
I think I want to change the dimensions of the side pieces so they fit together better (my cardboard design has shown to have a lot of excess.
I learned from making this prototype that we are actually making an actual thing. We have been doing so much online stuff, that I lost sight that we are doing something real. I have also learned that real-life models of stuff are important, and help me get a better feel of what I am doing, and how to do it.
I need to think about where to put the volume dial of the speaker. That is a current issue I have. I also have to put the cuts for bending the plywood still.
10 things I did:
I auto routed the PCB
I routed the power jack to external power
I routed power jack to ground
I routed left speaker to the board
I routed right speak to the board
I routed the power jack to the switch
I routed the bluetooth receptor to vin
I routed the bluetooth receptor to ground
I routed the Bluetooth receptor to power
I routed the resistors to each of the speakers.
My goal for this class was honestly to be able to make a speaker, and I did it. Some goals were to simulate water and I believe it resembles some water.
What did you make?
I made a speaker that is supposed to resemble a pot with water
Thinking about the work you created, what are you most satisfied with this semester?
I am most satisfied with my speaker honestly. I had some trouble with Rhino cause we don't get along all the time, but I'm glad I was even able to finish.
If you were to start over, knowing what you know, what would you do differently?
I would anticipate unforeseen effects in the creation of my speaker. I would anticipate that acrylic would bend and protrude when bending it.
What is a lesson from this class that you will take with you and use in future projects?
I would take it with me to have fun with the process. It shouldn't be super stressful and to have fun when creating something, while also being careful.
I aimed and made a light up loading screen which is supposed to imitate the flag of Ukraine. I don't know I thought it would be fun to make. The lights shine in a pattern that I thought was cool.
I learned that code is more complex than I think and that I should always check if stuff is downloaded in my MU before asking for help. I faced challenges with coding, getting past certain errors of like mistyped code, and it overall told me to be more careful with my work.
