Gwyneth Kennedy - Hello Post
A design/engineering strength and area for growth:
I am really creative, and I love making fun and quirky designs and projects. I struggle with coding and staying focused
Three things I want to commit to:
Doing my documentation on time
Making sure my site is easy to navigate
writing clear descriptions
We chose an hourglass for our board because Emory wanted to program it to fade, mimicking the falling of sand.
A description of what you made
This is Emory, and my hourglass-shaped PCB board. The lights will be programmed to appear like they are falling down the hourglass.
I will remember how to make schematics on Fusion and how to transfer Rhino files correctly
Summary:
Do the ballerina box
Put speakers on opposite sides of box
Why do you believe this is an excellent design to design and build?
I think I will enjoy having this in my room for years, and it's a functional jewelry box
How are you challenging your current skill set?
I am not very familiar with painting.
Lazer cuting Schematic for wooden pressfit box
This Includes my box, the jewelry layer, and the lid
What is your idea?
Swan lake music box speaker
What did you learn from your prototype?
side walls need to have a smaller width
Does your design need modifications?
yes, couple size modifications
Final Bread Board
I now understand that soldering needs to be very precise and cover the entire leg to ensure the electrical current is transferred.
Why different resistor values are essential: to limit current, create voltage drops, and control the flow of electricity to protect components and ensure the circuit functions correctly. For example, a resistor is crucial for an LED to prevent it from being destroyed by too much current
