August 30th 2023
we decided to go with the snowman. I really liked the simple design and the scarf.
Wednesday 6th Sep
Gavin and Simone
Something I remember is how long it takes to autoroute the part together.
I really like the nose. I hope to add a piece to string to hang it on my Christmas tree.

Speaker Project
Drafting Stage
Friday September 8th
i drafted 10 different speaker ideas. My favorites are the pigeon with head lamp, the aliens and boombox with eyes. Something that I am concerned about is how ambitious the designs are and how long it will take me to make the shell for the speaker.

The Design is 2 alien figures. I plan on using wood for the outside and some acrylic to make the coat lines. I want to have a 3d printed round head to go on top of the speaker.
Oct 11th
This is my cardboard prototype. I think it looks okay, in my original design I included arms but I found that it could be challenging so I decided that I will only include arms if I have enough time when I make the actuall speaker.
Oct 23rd
This is my breadboard, it has speakers, a switch, volume changer, and bluetooth connector.
I learned how to read schematics better and how to trouble shoot when it comes to circuits.
Oct 25th
This is me and Meshi's finished board for our circuit board design. (the schematic is not working). I worked on making the connections of Eagle and Meshi worked on the silk screen design. I learned how to layer and got better at making connections in Eagle.
Nov 6th
What challenge did you try to solve?
I failed my challenge, this is how far i got in class.
Nov 9th
We solved the different muni stop challenge
My solution was to search for the J church line and put the line number into the code on MU to get info from that line.

I am planning to make something similar to the J church Muni line challenge I did. I want to have the device show when the Bart will come at the Glen Park Bart station, the station that is a 10 minute walk from my house.
I will use the Feather ESP32-S2
It will not be part of my speakers

This is my unsoldered circuit board for my final speaker.
Dec 4th
This is my finished soldered circuit board for my final speaker and I designed this with Meshi.
Dec 4th
This was my first test cut. The parts cut well but they don't quite come together correctly. I need to change the sizing of the top part so that all of the slots will fit together nicely and not overlap. The holes I cut for power and the volume switch are correctly sized.
Wed 19th December
This is my current progress on my snowman speaker. I have not cut the nose and eyes for the snowman yet. My Box also still needs to be glued together and I have to drill new holes for my speaker to mount correctly.

I made a snowman speaker
This semester I am the most satisfied with my finished digital project because of how long it took to figure out.
I was starting over I would have spent more time 3d modeling so that the laser cutting process could have been smoother
A lesson I learned from this class is to be patient with the building process. When I rushed things(which I frequently did) I would often mess up and spend more time starting over than if I had just been careful and methodical.

My goal was to add a clock to my Amplifier to add more uniqueness.
I learned to ask for help. I spent so much time trying to figure out which folders were correct for my clock and when I asked Mr.Kliendolph he helped me fix my problem super quickly.
