Speaker Ideation choices
These are my 15 speaker ideas. My two favourite ideas are the DJ deck with speakers as jogwheels, and the tree with exposed wires on the trunk.
Feedback Summary
From these feedback post-its, I want to remember to make mindful choices about the building materials I choose. I also like Thara's Idea of making the project more personal/customized.
Phase 2 Design Drawing
I believe this is an excellent design because it connects to one of my hobbies and is useful for DJing. It smoothly incorporates the digital section and speakers into the build. I also have many opportunities to add buttons and features to the deck because of all of the knobs, sliders, and buttons.
I want to challenge my skill set by using the sliders in the deck as my volume or other controls. I also want to try to link the screen to some of these buttons.
In-Progress 3D Model
I have made the rough layout of my speaker so far, with room for the speakers and my electronics. I still need to place more buttons and work on the sliders.
Finished 3D Model
I have made the shape of my speaker so far, with room for the speakers and my electronics. I have now added buttons and the real slider models.
Cardboard
Model
This is my rough cardboard model of the speaker. I added the placements for the speakers, display, volume sliders, and buttons.
Amplified speakers circuit
I now have a better understanding of the different factors needed to make sound, and especially clear sound.
