Growth

An area of growth I have is that sometimes it takes me a while to learn new topics.

At least three things I want to commit to in the documentation of my learning and projects.

I want to commit to taking progress photos in almost every class I make an important step, I want to commit to taking clear photos that show what I am documenting, Finally I want to make sure my documentation is very neat and orginized

I drew 5 designs, one was a clothing brand, while 3 were colleges that I like (especially Ohio State). My final drawing was California which Amelia and I ended up choosing. We thought that since we both had connections to California it would make a better PCB board.

I worked with Amelia and we created a California schematic board. Something I am going to remember is that we added lights in the cities that we have connections with.

My favorite is the walkie because it can be portable, the box with a tree and vines, and the reverse headphones. These are my favorite because of the aesthetic and portability.

Something I want to remember is the reasons people liked that design.

This is an excellent design because I will only have a little time to complete this project, so I need to move faster at certain times. I also am being challenged by using machines and tools I haven't used before or haven't used in a long time

This is the cardboard prototype of my walkie-talkie speaker. I learned how big my speaker design will be, and I need to modify the size of the speaker holes, which I completed.

2. What do you still have to do to complete the amplifier (and digital project)?

I need to print face and complete pcb board

Is there something about the circuit you understand now that you've spent time prototyping it?

I now understand why specific wires go to certain parts and what certain pieces do in the circuit board

Name one part that is a complete mystery to you. Look it up on Google or Generative AI. What does it say the function of that part is?

One part that is a mystery is how the Bluetooth piece works. How does it know to connect to your device?

I worked with Amelia to create a California PCB shape, and our idea was for the lights to be in our favorite cities in California or the cities that have meaning to us. I am very happy with the outcome.

What did you make?

I made a walkie-talkie-inspired speaker

Thinking about the work you created, what are you most satisfied with this semester?

I am most satisfied with how it looks and how I incorporated a vintage look into it.

If you were to start over, knowing what you know, what would you do differently?

I would make the base of my speaker more prominent so that there is no gap between the face and the base

What did you learn this semester that will likely still be with you 2 years from now?

I learned that if there is a problem, I should ask others for help; there is always a way to make something work.
