Hello Post!
Hello Post!
Hi, my name is Inez and I am currently in 10th grade. A strength for me is my perseverance, Im not the type to give up easily and will continue to troubleshoot and make adjustments until I have a product I am satisfied with. A place for growth for me would be my decisiveness, I tend to change my mind a lot, which can lead to last minute big changes and extra work, so I am hoping to improve on that this semester and make things easier on myself. Three things I want to commit to throughout my documentation process are taking clear photos from multiple angles, documenting my steps clearly and concisely, and making sure my page is chronologically accurate.

Feedback
I received a lot of positive feedback about the creativity of my designs as well as some warning as to how ambitious y ideas may be. I think based on the feedback I will simplify my designs a bit in order to make them more feasable for th limited time we have.

Amplifier 3D Model
My design is a strawberry milk carton. I intend to use heat to bend the edges of the acrylic and press fit two halves together. I will but the speakers on either side of the carton and I don't intend to have the indicator light showing.
Amplifier Cardboard Prototype
My design is designed after a strawberry milk carton. A recent change I have made is to bend the corners instead of press fitting and press fit on the sides. Through making this model I have learned that the bending and press fitting is a little more challenging than I anticipated. I may need to think about how I will make sure that the box fits together in the end and how I will attach the bottom as well as thinking about the size and if it’s going to fit well on my two sheets. I expect to need help with learning how to use heat to bend the acrylic and how to do it well.

Microcontroller Challenge
I attempted the challenge to make a digital name tag. Which I was unable to complete due to clack of time

Final Custom PCB
For my digital project I chose to use the Feather M4 Express with a real time clock. I decided not to include this project in my amplifier design. I chose to make a clock that had the time in the center, with AM or PM in the bottom right corner, the date in the top left corner in MM/DD form, the year in the bottom left corner (YYYY), and finally a symbol in the top right corner to represent whatever season it is. The symbols for the seasons were a cherry blossom for spring, the sun for summer, a snowflake for winter, and a maple leaf for fall. A challenge I faced was not leaving myself enough time to finish this assignment, and not coming up with a finalized idea sooner. I learned a lot about importing libraries and why thats necessary for coding, as well as how to display things like text and images.

MDF Prototype
Final Rhino Model (for laser cutting)
My idea for my amplifier was to make it resemble a strawberry milk carton. I designed it make the enclosure using bent acrylic pieces attached with glue and press fit, with the bottom half being pink and the top half white, with the words strawberry and milk engraved in the acrylic on the front and back. The amplifiers would then go on either side and all the circuitry and battery inside the "carton". I am really satisfied of my new understanding of circuits. More specifically I am proud that I am able to read a schematic, and successfully solder a circuit based on it. If I were to start over this project I definitely would have made an effort to keep up with everything, and better plan out my construction process. I would have started cutting and bending everything much sooner and thought through my Rhino file more carefully. I will definitely take with me my understanding of the importance of time and project management in future shops classes and beyond.
