8/29 PCB #1 Ideas(drawings/sketches): ⬇
For this project my partner is Stuart;
We decided to go with his Solar System design! We chose it because it looked like the least intricate one along w/ it allowing us to make any adjustments if needed!
We chose to only include 5 planets in our PC. Which are; the sun, earth, venus, mars, and mercury. The sun will be our coin cell, as for the remaining orbiting planets will be lights of different colors (still being decided). In our design we also will include each of the planets moons!

Here is our final PCB design! Overall I am glad our design turned out just how we planned, it simple yet interesting! 2 takeaways I have are; learning how to check for errors, and learning how to use fusion to make schematics.

Here is my soldered and finished PCB!
Stuarts and I's design ended up looking a lot like our initial idea, although the colors might not match completely with the planets, this PCB was fun and simple to solder!
9/5-10 Speaker Process: ⬇
⬅ Speaker Drawings:
Overall my top 3 drawings are; Birdhouse, Zapatos inolvidables, and Bolsita! I really liked all of my ideations, but these 3 in specific draw my attention because they do not have the appearance like a simple design or or look like an existing electronic. I chose these due my availability to come it during frees and tutorials along with it being manageable for the remaining work classes ahead.
Ideation Feedback:
From the feedback I want to remember to simplify my chosen design due to the amount of given work time between classes. I would also like to keep in mind how many speakers I will be adding to my design 2+, and on if the inside of my design would be hollow or not. I really appreciated the cool and warm feedback I received!
Phase 2 Design Drawing
Detailed drawing of your amplifier design. This is not yet a CAD 3D model. It is a 20-30 minute drawing that shows more specifics, details, and rough dimensions and should be larger and inked.
I believe this is an excellent design, but it was overall really hard to pick in between my five drawings, This is because the birdhouse design overall was the least time-consuming along with the less complex yet nice design out of the rest. I think my current skill set is mainly specialized in the drawing portion and I believe that this design incorporates both my drawing/painting skills (painting the designs around the speakers) as well as my newly developed circuit skills this class has taught me.

9/27: 80% Finished Rhino Model: ⬇
I think the rhino model was probably one of the hardest deadlines to complete, due to me forgetting half of the commands i learned freshmen year, and having to relearn them. I believe my model could have turned out better and had more detail added to it, if I would have had more time, overall I do like how my rhino design turned out!
10/15: Finished Cardboard Prototype: ⬇
My idea is to make the birdhouse have some designs surrounding the speaker, as seen in the photos, when finalizing my speaker i will be drawing/painting a door on the front and a window on the back side along with possibly some flowers along the sides. I would also love to add some sort of handle as shown in the prototype. When making my prototype I learned that instead of attempting to make everything look symmetrical, that the prototype does not have to be perfect, and that it is meant to be a 3d version of your phase 2 drawing!

Q: Who did you work with? What was something you learned about the circuit during this process?
For this project, I worked with Troy!
During this process, I learned that no lines can touch and that if they do it can cause an error in the schematics. A challenge for me was figuring out how to change the initial shape of the PCB to make it unique! Overall this project was very tedious yet really fun to see it come together!

Here is my soldered amp! Although I had to come in during tutorials and stay after school, it was worth it, I enjoyed the process of soldering and testing the speaker quality, and although it's not perfect, it looks and turns out really well!

Q. Are you on track to finish your project? If not, what part of the project do you want to prioritize?
Yes, I am on track to finishing up my project! Although my initial idea was to paint on vines/leaves/flowers and curtains on the back of my speaker. I am going to prioritize fixing and laying out my rhino design to laser cut.
Q. What do you still have to do to complete the amplifier (and digital project)?
The last thing I have to do is to laser cut my wood and assemble my speaker, which would be gluing my wood together and screwing my speakers on.

What did you make?
I made a birdhouse speaker!
Q. Thinking about the work you created, what are you most satisfied with this semester?
I am most satisfied with my PCB amp, as I really enjoyed piecing it together along with the sound being really good!
Q. If you were to start over, knowing what you know, what would you do differently?
If I were to start over, I would probably have started with finishing my Rhino design and ensuring that everything was up to size. Along with not focussing fully on the little things.
Q. What did you learn this semester that will likely still be with you 2 years from now?
I hope to remember how to solder 2 years from now because although I did learn freshman year, it didn't fully stick with me, but since I relearned this semester, I hope i continue to remember how to solder!
Q. If you didn’t finish, what held you back?
Somethings that held me back from finishing my speaker on time were, my Rhino File disappearing twice, because of this it used up most of my time as I had to redo and resize all my pieces. I believe that what also held me back was my perfectionism, as I would spend too much time trying to make sure my soldering worked as was a good and not bad soldering job.
