MAX MERCER
HELLO POST
Hello, my name is Max and one of strengths is my creativity. One of my areas for growth is my execution and scheduling.
Uploading everything on time
Making sure I have all of the required content in all of my posts
Having high quality photos
This is a shark circuit and Raya and I decided to use this circuit because it kind of looks like a logo and is pretty unique.
I chose these three because they look the best aesthetically.
Raya and I decided to make a shark. One thing that I remember is learning how to insert an image in Blackbaud and how to trace it.
I want to make sure to remember that most people liked my alien looking one the most. I also want to be open to new ideas if i think of something else.
I believe my design is excellent when meeting my growth goals because I brainstormed very hard and came up with some rough dimensions to start making my model in rhino. I am challenging my skill set by making a sphere like shape which can only be 3d printed.
80% Finished Enclosure:
At this point my model is completly finished. I am going to use the leather of a basketball to cover the upper part . And have the bottom stay as it is. The speaker will go inside of the basketball.
I am planning on having the top half of my design to be covered by the leather of a basketball and have a speaker inside. I learned that it is way to much work to make spheres out of cardboard. From my model I found out that the holes for my speakers were incorrect. I have to remeasure and remake my model.

Talk about something you learned from this worksheet
I learned how to use the code given to make my own.
What's something you don't understand or want to know more about?
I wonder in what situation we need to use or in code.
Soldering Circuit Board
I worked with Ivana. And yes I am happy with the product.
Is there something about the circuit you understand now that you've spent time prototyping it?
I now understand how even the littlest thing can completely mess up your entire circuit.
Name one part that is a complete mystery to you. Look it up on Google or Generative AI. What does it say the function of that part is?
The capacitor: Energy Storage: Capacitors can store energy and release it when needed, which makes them useful for providing power to a circuit when there’s a temporary loss of supply.
Filtering: They smooth out voltage fluctuations in power supplies by blocking direct current (DC) while allowing alternating current (AC) to pass, reducing noise in electronic signals.
Timing: Capacitors are used in combination with resistors to create time delays in circuits, such as in timers and oscillators.
Coupling and Decoupling: In signal processing, capacitors can pass AC signals between different stages of a circuit (coupling) while blocking DC, or they can isolate parts of circuits from unwanted AC signals (decoupling).
Power Factor Correction: In AC power systems, capacitors help improve the efficiency by counteracting inductive loads, reducing energy loss.

BREADBOARD
Final Amp:
My goals were all completed. My only goal was to get a basketball to fit on my speaker and i succeeded.
What did you make?
Basketball Speaker
Thinking about the work you created, what are you most satisfied with this semester?
I most satisfied with my execution of my idea
If you were to start over, knowing what you know, what would you do differently?
I would make the top 3d print smaller
What did you learn this semester that will likely still be with you 2 years from now?
attention to detail
