I have yet to make up my mind for which design I plan on choosing, so I modeled both of them as drawings to help me choose which one seems like the better option. 

Idea 1: Stars 

Why It's a Good Design: It has a relative simple total shape and will be a better design with the limited time frame to complete this project. This design has more laser cut and 3D printed aspects and won't have too long of an assembly period. It will allow me to experiment with a variety of colors and will almost feel like I'm assembling a puzzle as I put together the pieces. 

How I'm Challenging Myself: I'm better with hand-crafting and not as skilled with 3D modeling. I'm also not the best with using the laser cut machine. This design will give me a chance to learn how to use these machines correctly and get better at 3D design. 

Idea 2: Vanity I ENDED UP CHOOSING THIS IDEA

Why It's a Good Design: It goes more into hand-crafted details and building, which is what I'm confident in. It has a beach vibe, which matches will my usually design vibe. It will be functional; serving multiple purposes and helping me clear up my desk and organize my growing jewelery collection. It will also have a mirror to help me put on my jewelry and do my makeup in the mornings. It is the more creative idea. 

How I'm Challenging Myself: While I'm better will hand-crafting things, I'm also a perfectionist who struggles with time limits. This project could deem itself too hard with the limited time frame. I'm also not sure how I would make the drawers and make an openable jewelry box. With this project, I'm going to learn better time management and also how to 3D print.
