Ideating 9/10/26

These are the 10+ designs I created in class inspired by Mr. Kleindolph's prompts. My favorites thus far are the designs with hanging components, such as the carabiners and keychains. I hope to also work with a material outside of the wood, metal and 3d printer so a design such as the jellyfish would accomplish that.

feedback Summary 9/14/26

In the feedback circle, a lot of people liked my cyperpunk inspired design as it was the most practical and unique. I was initially leaning towards the carabiner design but upon further reflection and feedback, I decided that it didn't make that much sense. Mr. Kleindolph suggested that I incorperate the lyric engravements from my box design into this one, so I may be adding that as well.

Phase 2 drawing 9/16/26

I am super excited about this design, and since deciding that this would become a present for my friend, I've had a stronger sense of direction. I believe this is a good design because I took into account of the biggest challenges, being where to fit electronics. I'm also happy with the engravings on the base that add a twist to the classic box design. I never did amazingly with metalworking, so I'm definitely challenging myself by building a design so centric around metal. Worst case scenerio, I will switch to an opaque acrylic but I enjoy the feel of the metal at the moment.

Digital Design: In Progress 9/29/26

I have been spending a lot of time modeling out the organic shapes of my speaker that'll become its main feature. I've become very familiar with "split" and "InterpCrv" in the process. Mr Kleindolph suggested that I replace the part in my inital design where I had 2 metal poles, and instead extending the curves down to help stabalize the structure.
