A huge thank you to the FOLG volunteers for running a very successful Elfridges this week. Parents gave up their time to support children in selecting 'secret' gifts for their friends and family. FOLG also chose to support all of our Pupil Premium Children with the cost: The Christmas Spirit alive and well at Little Green. Staying on the theme of Christmas, we are really gearing up for our usual Christmas festivities - carol service; Year 4 Christmas Production; Christmas meal; Christmas Musical Talent Show and much more...Merry Christmas!

Next Friday we will be holding a Christmas Jumper Day with all voluntary contributions going to Save the Children.
We have chosen this day to avoid a clash with our Open Morning.
Our Christmas Jumper Day is
FRIDAY 9th December!
FRIDAY!!
It has been four years since we researched, consulted and launched our core ethos ideas:
Community Wellbeing
Attitude to Learning
Powerful Knowledge
This year, we will carefully be reviewing and researching our ethos, PSHE Approach and Behaviour Policy for two critical reasons:
To make sure everyone has a voice in shaping the ethos of the school
To make sure that the ethos continues to shape and impact our school
One plan is to support children with some simpler narratives to help them make more real life sense of the ethos. For example: part of Community Wellbeing is linked to being Kind and Safe. As we develop more ideas, we look forward to sharing these and sharing your own thoughts and ideas about the school's ethos.
It is lovely to see some entries already coming in to school. Well done!
Have a go! You have to be in it to win it!
...Our Reading Badge Competition is in need of immediate launch as some children have already achieved their bronze badges.
Hooray for a love of reading!
Please click the letter for information and the template. Badge entries to be sent in by Monday 13th December!
Badges are a 59mm circle (allow 2mm for the edge!)

Stationery sets
If you missed out on ordering stationery sets we have received new stock and will be opening the opportunity to order on PTA events again - the introductory price has unfortunately finished so packs will now be priced at a very competitive £8 (still far cheaper than you can source on the high street!) and can be ordered via: www.pta-events.co.uk/folg. Information of what is contained in the packs can be found at this link.
Second hand uniform
Good quality second hand uniform can be ordered from Faye via folg-uniform@littlegreen.herts.sch.uk - most items are just 50p. Send an email outlining the items you wish to order - remember to include sizes and your child's class - you will then receive an email to let you know when your items are ready to collect from the school office.
Wed 07/12 - Flu vaccinations catch-up
Wed 07/12 - Year 6 Swimming
Thu 08/12 - Open Morning for prospective parents
Fri 09/12 - Christmas Jumper Day: Voluntary Contributions
NOTES:
Please do show kindness to everyone when using all of the paths to and from school. The end of the day is always a busy time and, as requested by parents, we do have a 2-way system. Many thanks for supporting the community.
CAR PARK REMINDER
Just a polite reminder that parents should not be driving into the car park for any reason. Only Blue Badge holders should be accessing the car park. Thank you.
Drop Box at the office
Please clearly label your child's belongings with their NAME and CLASS and items will be delivered at break time or lunchtime.
