SUMMER FAIR THANK YOU!
Thank you FOLG and all the friends of Little Green. I was so proud to be part of the Little Green Community last weekend as I saw so many of you coming to support the school. Whether it was the lead FOLG members' outstanding leadership: Cat, Lou, Jackie, Sarah P, or other dedicated FOLG members (so sorry if anyone missed) Amy L, Emma, Sarah W, Faye Cleary, Vicky, Zoe, Danielle, Laurelie, Paul, Minnie, Arvind; the Governors taking tickets: Chris M, Chris L, Charlotte Eastman, Kathy, Sam, Alan, Emma, Demi; the teachers being sponged - Mr. Hyde, Mr. Rivers, Mr. Whitelaw, Mr. Brailsford; Miss Gay leading the choir, Big Mama Funk; the raffle donations from local businesses; or the dad's stepping up to set up and clear up the gazebos or the many parents who took a turn to staff the class stall,; the community stepped up and made a difference for everyone in Little Green and Croxley. When we talk about Community Wellbeing, the images of the fair and the freely given hard work of the volunteers is what we are talking about. THANK YOU! Current profit looks to be just shy of £5,000 - THANK YOU!
A special thank you to 'The Gazebo Masters' - a talented group of DIY dads that put up 20 gazebos in a flash! Thank you to Danielle Harman, Michael Lansley, Koos Smit, Chris and Liz Humphries, Tom Lobak, Dave Rose
A huge thank you to the relentless staff who managed to put this all together within a week of finding out chalet information and activities. (Usually we have 3 months but PGL were a little behind!) The pictures have looked incredible and we are always so impressed with how the children face their fears and develop their risk taking - whether that be on the Giant Swing or sharing a bathroom with friends - either way this can be very challenging! Well done to all of the children and staff on a successful trip.
By request, you may have missed the school on Newsround as the link I shared was to the latest show and not the Climate Special. Check out this link to see our Amazing Year 5 Eco Council Reps in action - changing the world starting with Little Green roads! What's next!
