About this subject
In this semester-based unit, there is a focus on meeting the creative needs of others through a client brief.
Students develop design skills through research, the use of references and concept sketches. Students will be applying the design theories to visual solutions and will use computer design programs to produce final presentations.

Students participate in practical learning activities including:
§ Developing ideas through the application of the design process

§ Skill development workshops – using a range of idea generation techniques as well as ICT skills in the use of the Adobe suit.
§ Work across a range of media and processes, including concept sketching, explorations colour using traditional media throughout planning as well as ICT program skills
§ Production of practical folio pieces
They also develop their Design terminology and their ability to analyse and evaluate their own designs and the works of professionals.
