The Textiles course provides students with an opportunity to work through the Design Process and develop technical skills. Working to client briefs, they design, produce and evaluate a number of creative textiles products.
The focus areas include:
Workplace Health and Safety
The Design Process including the communication of ideas; problem solving and following Production Plans
Garment Construction
Understanding Fibres and Materials
Types of learning activities
Throughout the course, students complete various theoretical and practical tasks, incorporating:
Workplace Health and Safety
Independent and collaborative tasks to produce products to suit the need of a client.
Application of the the Technology Design Process to produce, generate, analyse, evaluate and manage various projects and products.
