Semester 1
Focusing on a conceptual framework, students study rigid transformations, dilations, slope, similarity, fractions, linear relationships, proportional relationships and linear equations with an emphasis on the contextual use of mathematics in everyday life.
Semester 2
During Semester 2 students study a range of Mathematical topics including the main areas of study: Functions and Volume, Exponents and Scientific Notation, Pythagorean Theorem, Trigonometry, Probability, Statistics. Focusing on an approach that builds an appreciation for mathematical concepts, students engage with an emphasis on the use of mathematics in everyday life.
