About this subject
In Digital Technology, students analyse problems, design, develop and evaluate digital solutions. They create and share information that meets a range of current and future needs.
Students learn to safely and ethically utilise the capacity of various information systems to create digital solutions. The solutions and information are created through the application of computational, design and systems thinking, and technical skills.
Ares of study include:
Problem solving methodology applied to Digital technology issues
Digital systems
Understanding Networks
Creating Digital Solutions
Types of learning activities
Throughout the course, students complete various theoretical and practical tasks, incorporating:
Understanding how computers communicate
Understanding how networks interact
Testing scenarios and developing solutions
This subject may lead to
Year 10 Digital Technology
