General Mathematics is designed as preparation for VCE General Mathematics.
These units are designed for those students who require a less algebraic approach to mathematics.
Topics studied across a whole year include:

Linear graphs and relations
Geometry and Trigonometry
Financial Mathematics
Statistics
Non-linear Graphs
Textbook exercises
Homework
Analysis and application tasks
Kahoot quizzes and online interactives
Topic tests
End of semester examination
After studying Year 10 General Mathematics, students may choose to study VCE General Mathematics Units 1 and 2 the following year, which then leads on to VCE General Mathematics Units 3 and 4. Students may instead choose to study VCE Foundation Mathematics.
VCE General Mathematics Units 3 and 4 is a prerequisite subject for a number of Victorian tertiary courses. Please consult with the Careers Practitioner for advice.
