AHC20122 Certificate II in Agriculture
Delivered at the Coolock Trade Training Centre in partnership with Access Skills Training (RTO: 6653)
This course provides an entry level occupational outcome in agriculture. The qualification enables individuals to focus on mixed farming enterprises. Industry expects individuals with this qualification to carry out routine tasks under general supervision and exercise limited autonomy with some accountability for their own work.
Completion of the units of competence for this certificate course are sequenced over two years.
Students who receive a VCE VET Unit 3–4 sequence for any of the VCE VET Agriculture qualification will be eligible for an increment towards their ATAR (10% of the lowest study score of the primary four studies).

AHCPLY303: Maintain health and welfare of poultry
AHCLSK215: Carry out alpaca handling and husbandry operations
AHCINF206: Install, maintain and repair farm fencing
AHCINF205: Carry out basic electric fence operations
AHCPCM204: Recognise plants
AHCBEK206: Assemble and maintain beekeeping components
Students meet minimal requirements for Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN). These skills are fundamental to participation in the workforce, the community and in adult education and training.
Students are required to wear appropriate clothes and footwear for working with animals in a farm environment.
Industry sectors: Assistant Animal Attendant/Stockperson, Assistant Farm or Station Hand/Labourer.
Certificate III: Agriculture, Horticulture, Conservation, Nursery, Turf management, Parks n Wildlife.
Certificate IV: Agribusiness, Conservation and land management.
Higher Education: Bachelor of Agricultural Science.
