Year 8 builds on the work done in Year 7 and allows students greater exploration of both core and elective studies.
At Catherine McAuley College Bendigo, educational opportunities in Year 8 are made relevant and challenging to assist the development of the individual. As education is a lifelong process, students at this year level are encouraged to gain experience in a wide range of areas, as well as following their own interests. Middle School is an ideal time to try new units, as well as consolidating learning in key areas. This will be achieved in an environment which encourages a personal striving for excellence, emphasising the need to achieve the best education possible.
The curriculum in Year 8 closely follows the Victorian Curriculum as set out by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority and the ‘Source of Life’ document as set out by the Catholic Education Office - Sandhurst.
