During the Art Elective students build on their experiences from Coolock and learn their individual ability to identify and develop their own personal art style. Students apply this knowledge by creating a broad range of artworks in a diverse range of Art Forms. They analyse and evaluate their own art making after they study the works of established artists who work in these artforms. This is done through a range of activities to explore materials, techniques, and students use these to present their own ideas. They do this through research, excursions to local art galleries, and also practical workshops to gain practical insights to the artmaking processes.
