In this semester-based unit, students develop how to communicate ideas through visual solutions, the production of artworks are based on their ideas and perceptions of specific topics. Students will develop skills in media use, including pencil, paints, pastels, clay, printing inks and associated tools and equipment that will be used in the making of the final artworks. They discuss and analyse their own pieces, as well as the work of others.

Skill development workshops – using a range of media and application techniques
Work across a range of media and processes, including drawing, painting, printmaking and ceramics
Production of practical folio pieces
They also develop their Arts terminology and their ability to analyse and evaluate their own artworks and the works of professional artists.
