SHB20216 Certificate II Salon Assistant (2 Year Course)

This entry-level qualification is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in hairdressing. It provides a solid foundation in the essential skills and knowledge required to begin working in the industry. It prepares students to apply for a hairdressing apprenticeship upon successful completion of the course.
Students will learn how to prepare clients for salon services, safe use hairdressing tools and equipment, and apply a variety of hairstyling techniques and products. The course also supports the development of employability skills while building a broad understanding of the hair and beauty industry.

Students will be awarded the Certificate II in Salon Assistant on the successful completion of all the required units of competency. The RTO Bendigo TAFE are responsible for issuing qualifications and statements of attainment associated with this course.

SHBHBAS002: Provide head, neck and shoulder massages for relaxation
The following range of assessment methods will be used: module theory assessments, tests, practical skill demonstration and observations.
This qualification will help you find employment as a Salon Assistant, Stylist, Hairdresser or Barber.
