CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services
This course is designed to provide students the opportunity to undertake some entry-level industry-based training and learning related to the community services industry. Students undertake some Units of Competency taken from the Certificate III in Community Services qualification, these units are selected as most relevant in providing foundation knowledge, skills and practical experience for those interested in a career in the community services sector.
Year 11 and 12 students who have an interest in pursuing a career in community services
Year 10 students that completed the iGEN program
Individuals looking for skills for immediate employment outcome
Individuals looking for a pathway into the community support industry
VCE VET Credit:
Students undertaking CHC32015 are eligible for up to four VCE VET units on their VCE (including VCE VM and VPC) statement of results.
Two VCE VET units at Unit 1/2 level
A scored VCE VET Unit 3-4 sequence
Scored Assessment:
Students who wish to receive an ATAR contribution must undertake scored assessment. This consists of three coursework tasks that are worth 66% of the overall study score and an end of year examination that is worth 34% of the overall study score. Scored assessment is based on the scored Unit 3-4 sequence of the VET Community Service program.

This course is an excellent pathway to further study at Diploma and Bachelor level for any community service career.
Students meet minimal requirements for Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN). These skills are fundamental to participation in the workforce, the community and in adult education and training.
