11/6: We did some preliminary work as we begin a short noir unit. Look at the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon attached below. Describe plot, pay attention to why Calvin is escaping, from what and how. Look at language, particularly his use of language during the "escape" panels. Look at the way those panels are drawn, paying particular attention to filmic device techniques you see.
