Make Up work - ONLY for the 1st half of T3

If you owe me CNN10, go to that page and look for the date and the link. The worksheet is attached at the bottom of that page.

If you owe me the dress code: you need the UpFront magazine with the cheerleaders on the front. The dress code debate is on the last two pages of the magazine. Before you read, write a paragraph about how you feel about dress codes. Should we have them at school? Why or why not? What should they be and for whom? Why or why not? Then, read the introduction and the Yes and No sides. For each side, make a list of the arguments. Then, choose the two most effective arguments from each side, write them down and tell me WHY you think they are effective.

If you owe me the UpFront Supreme Court, you need the UpFront magazine with cheerleaders on the cover. The article is on pages 8-11. Choose two of the upcoming cases that you are interested in. On a piece of white lined paper, write down the title of the case, then make a list of 5-7 facts about the case. After you've completed both, choose one of the articles to write more about. In a paragraph or two, tell me why the case interested you, what you think of the two sides presented and how/why a case like this might impact your life.

If you owe me the teenage brain worksheet: Read this article from Science for Students and complete the "Teenage Brain article questions" attached below.

If you owe me goals - please write two academic goals you have for what's left of T3 (these should be as specific as they can be - like I want to bring my Chem grade up from a D to a C). Then, write two goals you have for yourself between now and the end of the year (at least one should be an academic goal). Then, write two goals you have for next year (before you finish high school (again, at least one should be academic), and finally, two goals for the five years after you leave high school (again, try to make these specific). Once this is done, pick two of your goals (one for T3 and one from a different list) and write an action pan (steps that will get you to that goal).
