3/24: We are working on the editorial page now.

3/11: Look for your art on the "Art" Page below. Do your research on the Art Research worksheet.

3/1:We watched a news report about Flint's water problems. On the front of the notecard, make a list of important facts about the crisis (you should have 7-10 facts). On the back of the notecard, react to the news report. Tell me what you think about the crisis, about the families who are affected, about the way it was discovered, about who is at fault and about what should be done about it. THINK about our discussion about what government's role is - is this a place where the federal government should step in and help to pay for fixing it? Why or why not? Fill the back of the card.

2/29: BIG PAPER discussion of where we stand on a list of values and beliefs (attached below.

2/24: First, read the introduction to the issue at hand. Then, on the front of the notecard: tell me your opinion about this issue. Based on your own experience, based on prior knowledge, based on what you’ve read, your concerns, your moral world view, etc. what do you think and why?

Then, read the two sides. On the back of the notecard: for each side, write down the three best arguments from the “Yes” side and the three best on the “No” side. For each side, star the argument that you think is most effective and tell me why.
