Period 1 - World History

- In class, we began by students getting back in their groups from Tuesday. With a partner on Tuesday, students were supposed to create an excellent thesis on whether or not humans should relocate to Mars. Today, each pair of students wrote their group thesis on a shared google doc. Next, each student pair had to critique all 12 thesis statements on the the google doc. When critiquing the thesis statements, students were told to consider the following: does it have the correct topic? claim? direction? is it arguable? does it take a side? is it specific? Students were also told to choose the thesis statement that they deemed as the "best."

The class then went over 4-5 of the thesis statements, and edited each statement to make it better.
