Today in class, we went over the Unit Syllabus for Sensation and Perception (see attachment).
Next, students completed the question of the day on the Module 16 Discussion Questions worksheet (see attachment). We then watched a clip on Face Blindness - Part 1 (60 Minutes), relating this disorder to sensation and perception.
We discussed top-down and bottom-up processing through a Backmasking Activity. See questions on Module 16 Discussion Questions worksheet.
Then, we discussed selective attention. Slides 1-6 from the attached PowerPoint were covered in class. The following clips were also shown in relation to selective attention, inattentional blindness, and change blindness:
