AP Psych EXAM DAY!

In class, Ms. Pretet went over reminders for taking the AP Exam - no cell phones, bring pencils/pens and photo id, etc.

Students had the period to study (if they wanted) or relax.

Homework:

1. Disorders and Therapy Test - on Thursday

2. Bring ALL journals to class on Thursday

3. Will need a book for the Book Review Project by Friday (see directions below).

A few days after the A.P. Exam, we will begin our Book Review Assignment—a task that involves each of you reading a non-fiction book or memoir that addresses a topic that we touched on this year. To assist you in this task, we have compiled an extensive book list that can be accessed from the school homepage (Please note: if you do not choose something from the reading list, you must get it pre-approved.) Follow the directions below to begin your search:

DIRECTIONS FOR ACCESSING A.P. PSYCHOLOGY BOOK LIST

1. Open up the Highland Park High School homepage. On the left hand side, scroll down and click on the “Library” link.

2. Choose “Student Research/Class Projects” from the pop-up menu. This will take you to a list of different class projects.

3. Click on the “Psychology Reading List” link. This will take you directly to an excel document that includes approximately 270 titles to choose from. (DO NOT PRINT THIS DOCUMENT—IT IS 40 PAGES LONG!)

4. If you have a title in mind, you may search for it using the “Find and Select” option. Be sure to have at least three different titles in mind in case someone else choose the main book you are interested in reading.

My advice, start looking for your book ASAP! You will need to have your book in class and be ready to read on Friday, May 6th.
