Close Up

As part of Close Up, students utilize Washington, D.C. as a learning lab and immerse themselves in the process of how our government functions. In doing so, they interact with students from across the nation to discuss the issues facing our country. On our visit to Capitol Hill, we are afforded the opportunity to meet with our elected officials along with many other public servants. Upon returning to Highland Park, students often speak to the ways in which the program serves to expand their knowledge of not only how the government works, but also to the range of perspectives that exist within our diverse nation.
