Today in class...

- students got new seats

- Ms. Pretet went over the Advanced Placement (AP) options that stuents can enroll in next year. Students are required to take some form of US History next year (either AP US History, American Studies, or US History). Please see the information below:

AP SOCIAL STUDIES – REQUIRED INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS – WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4 and THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 2017!

Are you planning on or interested in taking an Advanced Placement (AP) Social Studies course next year (2017-2018)? If so, you will need to attend the appropriate informational session during the times/dates listed below. Sessions are run during lunches and you only need to attend one of these sessions during your free or lunch period (you may bring your lunch with you to the meeting). At these sessions, you will learn about the focus and expectations of the courses from AP teachers and students. If you are unable to attend the appropriate session, please email the department chair (lstillwell@dist113.org) in A311 before January 4, 2017. Attendance will be taken at these informational sessions. Locations are listed below.

AP UNITED STATES HISTORY - A217

- went over Document 13- 5 questions about the movie, Raise the Red Lantern (that were assigned the Friday before Winter Break) - 6th period only --> need to finish the last 2 questions

- went over the Multiple Choice Portion of the China Test. Students got their scantron, test copy, and Test Analysis form to fill out. We will finish this on the block day (1st period only).

Homework:

1. Map of Greece - front and back side - use maps on Google to fill in the items listed (see attachment)
