Today in class, we finished by discussing prenatal development.

Next, students received a packet of papers on Cognitive Development. Students were asked to try a piece of a candy. Students then had to connect the terms of schema, assimilation, and accommodation to the piece of candy that was actually a "musk" flavored life saver. The class discussed the application of these terms to the life saver.

We discussed Piaget's stages of cognitive development (sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operational, formal operational). We went over buzz words that are a part of each of Piaget's stages.
