Periods 7 and 9

o Assignment #1 - HANDOUT Document Analysis Sheet – Document #2 (China DBQ) - IF YOU WERE ABSENT, YOU WILL NEED TO SCHEDULE A TIME WITH ME TO MAKE THIS UP.

§ 1. Students will need to take out their China DBQ Packet (dark pink paper) – every student should have this

§ On the top of this assignment, it says “Document 2” but it should really say DOCUMENT 1. Please point this out to students.

§ 2. Students are to look at document 1, and fill in the box with the correct information

3. Students are to write a thesis, evidence, and analysis in response to the question being asked.

· Students CAN USE THEIR NOTES – we have taken notes on what a thesis, evidence, and analysis are

· Allow students to have no more the 35 minutes to complete this.

o Assignment #2 – have students take out their Chinese Philosophies Chart (this was handed out last week, but we have not yet done anything with it; it is on VERY LARGE paper.

§ Students are to use their ABC Clio Notes titled – “Three Chinese Philosophies” (students had this guided note packet that they completed last week) and the reading on Lao Tzu and Confucius to fill in the chart. I provided you with extra copies of the reading on Lao Tzu and Confucius. Last week, students were to read and annotate that handout on Lao Tzu and Confucius. The chart should be detailed and have information specific to their Three Philosophies Note packet and the readings on Lao Tzu and Confucius

*** During class, Ms. Pretet met with individual students to discuss Timeline information, missing assignment, incomplete assignments, and organization.
