o Please write the following on the board as the agenda:

§ Pretet – World History

· China DBQ Packet – readings #4, 11A, and 11B

· Review of Confucianism, Legalism, and Daoism - Worksheet

· Homework:

o Finish DBQ readings/questions and Review Worksheet

o 1. China DBQ Packet – readings #4, 11A, and 11B – WITH A PARTNER

§ Have students take out their China DBQ (Document Based Question) packet

· I have provided the substitute with extra copies of this packet in a case a student does not have his/hers

§ Students are to read, ANNOTATE and answer the corresponding questions to the following documents in the DBQ Packet

· Document 4 – questions h, i

· Document 11A – questions s, t, u

· Document 11B – questions v, w, x, y

· Students may use their notes to help them answer these questions

§ To determine partners for the China DBQ Documents assignment - Students should take out their PARTNER CLOCKS

· Students will work on the China DBQ Packet with their 5 o’clock partner.

· If a student’s partner is not present, please have them see you. Assign the student to another pair of students (so they will be a group of 3).

§ Once a partnership is done with the China DBQ documents and questions listed above, they can continue to work with the SAME partner on the next task

o 2. Handout Review of Confucianism, Legalism, and Daoism packet. – WITH THE SAME PARTNER AS THE DBQ PACKET

§ Students should follow the directions on this sheet.

§ Students should use the following items to help them with this review worksheet:

· 3 Philosophies Chart

· 3 Philosophies note packet

· Lao Tzu/Confucius annotated reading

***** STUDENTS ARE NOT TO USE THEIR CHROMEBOOKS. STUDENTS SHOULD NOT BE GOOGLING THE QUOTES IN THIS ASSIGNMENT TO SEE WHO SAID THEM. Students need to reflect on the meaning of the quote to determine which philosophy would agree with the quote and why

o Homework:

§ Finish the DBQ documents and review worksheet if not finished in class.
