In class, students worked in groups of 4-5 people to decipher the meaning of the Mayan Stele. Students were to develop a hypothesis for what each row (1-4) could signify on the Stele.

The class then discussed these hypotheses and what historians believe to be true about the Stele.

5th period: watched "Cracking the Maya Code" until 22 minutes and 36 seconds.

7th period: did not watch any of the film today.
