The History of the Renaissance: use this link to watch the video!

o Take attendance: Please mark anyone who is absent or tardy on the class roster sheets that are located on my desk in the social studies office; students DO have assigned seats (see roster)

o Please write agenda on board and go over with students

· 14.2 Renaissance Moves North - Open Note Check

· Video – the Renaissance and Worksheet via Google Docs

· Homework

o Finish the movie: History of the Renaissance and movie guide questions (in the Google Doc)

o Handout: 14.2 The Renaissance Moves North - Open Note Check

§ All students should take this open note check.

· Students may use their own handwritten notes to complete the open note check; students are not allowed to use anything but their OWN notes

o Video: The History of the Renaissance

§ Overview: students will be individually watching a youtube video and answering questions on a Google Doc about this video.

§ To get students set up:

· Have students take out their Chromebooks

· Students should go to my classroom website

· Once on my website, students should go to the “World History” tab and click on the unit called “Revolutions”

· Students should scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Word Document called “History of the Renaissance”

o Students need to download this document into their Google Drive. Students can help each other if someone is not sure how to do this.

o STUDENTS MUST SHARE THIS GOOGLE DOC WITH ME AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PERIOD

o If a student has their own headphones, they should take them out; if not, please give students headphones from the stack that were on my desk in the social studies office
