Visions of Africa and dead elephants!

A dear sister wrote to me during Sept.2004 about the dreams she had seen, seeking my interpretations:

I am a fellow believer and subscriber to your website through InJesus.com. I recently had a vision, the first real vision I have ever had, and I was wondering if I could tell you about it and maybe get some feedback as to what you think it might mean. If that is ok with you, here goes:

One night last week while lying in bed getting ready to go to sleep, I was talking to the Lord. Suddenly, I saw a city in Africa, as if I was hovering over the city from far above, then I saw a picture of a picture frame with 9 pictures in it as if it were on the front page of Time magazine. The nine pictures were of dead elephants, each of different elephants in different poses. Then I heard in a voice, as if somebody were talking to me aloud, "Specialty Truck Services", and "Friday the 24th". I immediately felt it had to do with a bomb. I worked the dates of all the Fridays that fall on the 24th of a month for the next year, and only three dates matched: Sept 24th 2004, Dec 24th 2004, and June 24th, 2005. I prayed and asked the Lord what it meant. About ten minutes later, I had another vision, or a continuance of the first, I'm not sure which.

Here is the next vision or 2nd part of the first: I saw a city full of Africans (They had black skin). The people were protesting something violently. They were almost rioting. I heard the words "Gay Sex". I saw one man in particular who was in power, either in government or a dictator or something of that type. This man in power was a "Bad Man", evil. I saw fighting. That was the end of the vision.

My interpretation of the dreams

This vision needs prophetic interpretation. The names of places, people, figures, etc. are allegorical. Africa, a continent that needs to be still evangelized fully, is typical of those areas in this world that need to be evangelized.

The nine dead elephants represent the dead religious practices that rule the roost in the churches today. Religious practices have become part of the worship services these days when people worship God by giving lip services to Him and when they do not have any burden to preach the gospel in places that need to be evangelized.

Why it is 9, an odd figure, instead of 10? In our eyes, if we come across a figure like 9, we tend to ignore it. But, if we come across a figure like 10, 20, etc., we easily note it down and attach importance to it; we remember it. Similarly, the people of God do not take seriously such dead religious practices while worshiping the living God.

"Specialty Truck services"! This shows that all such worship services where people of God pay lip services to God, when they live in sin, are not lively services for the glory of God. They are dead church services. They are called here "specialty truck services". In other words, they are known as commercial services meant for transporting goods through trucks, and not holy worship services.

"Friday 24th"! We, the people of God, "observe days; and months, and times, and years…." (Gal.4:10). Paul in this epistle wondered how the people of God in Galatia became entangled into legality or laws, from which they had been set free. We now find that the cult of astrology is spreading like wild fire even in European and western nations. The cult of astrology is based on particular days and movement of stars and planets. Please note that today (5th September, 2004) in our church services I was given the public reading of the Scriptures. The scripture reading was taken from this portion of the Pauline epistle to Galatians.

In our midst, there is a denominational church called "Seventh day Adventist". They are very particular about worshiping God on the seventh day only. Recently, I found somebody claiming to be an apostle in USA. He wanted to gather the people of God for observing the Jewish festivals like Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacle.

The churches are thus drifting away from the grace and falling into the laws of the Old Testament.

You saw a city in Africa full of Africans. The Holy Spirit shows us in visions so that we can easily remember these visions and thus understand the truth. This means that in many of our cities there are millions of unconverted people who are not yet born again. They are self-righteous people. They know about the morality but do not know Christ Jesus. They indulge in violence and protest against immorality like Gay-sex, etc. The churches have to reach out these people through the glorious gospel.

You saw one evil man in power i.e. a dictator. This shows that the Devil is reigning over these people who have put on the garb of "morality". The Devil as the dictator has been instigating these people to resort to violence.
