The skills and knowledge gained in this subject will be valuable for students planning to study VCE Physics.
Students will explore a variety of forms of flight. They will investigative, research, develop and construct various types of aircraft and learn the theory behind them as they follow the development of flight from a Physics perspective.
Students will study topics including

Parachutes/Sky diving
Helicopters/gyrocopters
Kites
Planes/gliders
Rockets
At every stage, students will be encouraged to build models, pose questions, investigate and to research areas of interest to them around these central themes.
The skills and knowledge gained in this subject will be valuable for students planning to study Physics in VCE.
To be considered for a VCE subject, students will need to have successfully completed two modules of Year 10 Science and this elective supports building strong foundation skills for the year 10 Physics and the Universe elective.
