Year 10 Digital Art Prospectus 2025:
Are you interested in the opportunity to design, sculpt and animate using a range of physical and digital methods? Then this Semester long course is for you.
What will I learn?
Students will learn to explore in depth ways of how to manipulate materials using a range of techniques and processes, converting them from manual to digital technologies (or vice versa) to express their creativity in character illustration and animation.
What will I do?
Students will use manual and digital drawing methods to create drawings of characters and objects that will then be converted into 3 dimensional physical and/or digital objects. These objects will then be the basis of further animated development. The scope of the possible projects is wide and so students are involved in the development of the curriculum. Possible projects involve digital animation, prop/costume design, drawing, and digital apps like procreate and photoshop. These project based developments will be documented within their visual diaries.
What will this lead to?
This mixed media elective is a great springboard for VCE Art Making and Exhibiting, VCE Visual Communication Design and VCE Media
