This module covers knowledge and skills from the Biological and Chemical Sciences section of the the Victorian curriculum
What will I learn?
Students will cover topics including:
Genes and Inheritance: How is biological information passed from generation to generation.
Evolution: Why is there such a diverse range of life on earth, and how have we humans turned this to our advantage to change both animals and plants to suit us.
The Periodic Table: How do scientists manage to arrange every single chemical building block in the universe on just one sheet of paper!
Chemical Reactions: How can we use our knowledge of chemistry to control reactions and to manufacture the fuels, plastics and food we use everyday.

Science Guidelines
To be considered for a VCE subject, students will need to have successfully completed two modules of Year 10 Science as outlined in the table below:
Duration: 5 periods per week for one semester
