The aim of the Music course in Year 7 is to develop an understanding of the concepts of music and to develop skills for creating, performing and listening to music.

What will I learn?

In the course of this study, students will cover areas such as composition, theory and Aural and rhythm skills, guitar, keyboard and ukulele.  Students are guided through the learning of the key musical elements and principles, developing links between the different areas of study.

What will I do?

You will learn about music styles, genres, instruments and your relationship with music and how to utilise your musical knowledge in many different contexts. You will learn ensemble and performance skills.

What will this lead to?

Year 7 Music can lead to further music through participation in Instrumental lessons and the College band programs.
