”SWEETS”
When it comes to chocolate, most European countries, such as Belgium, Switzerland, and Austria, are famous, but when it comes to sweets in general, France, and especially the city of flowers, Paris, is the place to go. There are specialty sweets shops all over the place.
By combining pale and light tones*,
to express a light and sophisticated atmosphere.
Don't be too conscious of the chocolate.
→It will end up being a bit too heavy.
*Both pale tones and light tones refer to bright colors that contain a lot of white. It's not weak, nor is it pale. Aim for a soft color tone.

So, what are the essential elements of kawaii?
Let's make a hypothesis.
KEY of kawaii #1
PINK, ICE BLUE
Pastel colors are obviously cute, but I think pink and light blue are especially essential.

Choose one 150mm square.
Choose some color chips.
Please consider leaving some space between colors
so they don't clash.
Aim for a "SWEET" look.
Assuming this,
when the relationship between the base and the placed shape is clear
(you can also think of it as the character and background),
the color chips are called POSITIVE SPACE and the base is called NEGATIVE SPACE.
In Japanese, this is called "ground and figure."
This distinction becomes even stronger when there is a layered structure.
However, in painting, the artist
doesn't just think about the figure,
but always looks at the entire picture plane.
By viewing the ground and figure as equal value,
a sense of tension can be created in the composition.
In other words, the shape of the white space is also important.

Colors have multiple meanings.
Purple is always used in TV show subtitles to represent illness and other negative things.
On the other hand, purple is noble and mysterious.

The image of a color can be changed in either direction depending on the adjacent color.

Orange, yellow, and yellow-green, when used together, create a strong fruity image. These are so-called
"VITAMIN COLORS".
For this theme, it's best not to emphasize these colors, as they will reinforce other images, such as "TROPICAL".
