Fruit and Chia Seed Jam

Make your very own fruit jam! This ridiculously simple recipe will have you skipping the store bought ones in no time. Just grab some of your favorite fresh fruit, some chia seeds, and some sweetener of your set.

Here's what you need:

  • 2 Cups of your favorite fresh fruit
  • 2 TBSP Chia Seeds
  • 1-2 TBSP Lemon Juice
  • 1-2 TBSP Honey or Maple Syrup


Heat the fresh fruit in a medium size sauce pan until they become soft and juicy. Squish them with a spatula. Add Lemon Juice and Honey to taste and stir in. Take off the heat. Add the Chia Seeds and stir. Let it cool and then put into a container. Refrigerate or freeze until needed.

Note: This jam will not be as thick as store bought jams. You can add more Chia Seeds (a little at a time) to help thicken it. Plus you will will be eating the full seeds. If you rather have it smoother put the mixture in a blender when it's just about cool and blend until it's you're desired texture.
