What you need:

  • 1 ham steak
  • 1/3 cup pineapple chunks (rings or minced work as well. You'll need some juice as well)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 TBSP Natural Maple Syrup

Here's how you make it:

Get out a medium size pan, and put about a teaspoon of oil in. Turn a burner on medium to medium-high heat, and let that warm up. Put your ham steak in the pan once it is warmed up. Next, as the ham is starting to cook, throw in your pineapple, about half of the water, and a Tbsp of maple syrup. Move those ingredients around the ham, and then lift up the ham and put some under it. As the water is starting to bubble, flip the ham and put some of the pineapple back on top. Then add another Tbsp of maple syrup. Keep stirring it, about every 30 seconds-a minute. You can flip the ham again once the water starts boiling. Add a little bit more water, about ½ of what is left. The ham steak should be starting to brown on the sides, and that is how you know you are done.
