LET'S GET STARTED!

It's about time to unleash your soul through the harmony of Renaissance, Medieval or Baroque music.

You can once again listen to such music through the link below.

WHAT TO DO

1. There are varied ways you can accomplish this task. CHOOSE FROM ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

PLAY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

YOU CAN DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • play the music you have chosen (Medieval, Baroque, Renaissance)

  • make an improvised version

  • make an instrument cover (e.g. beat box cover)

DANCE TO THE BEAT

If you can dance better than play instruments, make a dance routine to interpret the music you have chosen (Medieval, Baroque, Renaissance).

SING, HUM or CHANT

If you can sing better than dancing and playing instruments, you can make a vocal improvisation like humming or chanting using the music (Medieval, Baroque, Renaissance) you have chosen as accompaniment.

DO A MONOLOGUE

If you can do NONE of the above, you may deliver a SPOKEN WORD POETRY or a SONG MONOLOGUE using the chosen music (Medieval, Baroque, Renaissance) as background music.

2. Make a video recording of yourself while performing.

3. Your video must also indicate the music, composer and the era. Video must not exceed 10 minutes.

4. Post your video in your social media account or in your blog.

IMPORTANT: If you are a very private individual who does not feel comfortable posting such videos in your social media account nor in your blog, you may save your video to your drive. Get shareable link for Google Classroom submission. However, please do understand that you will not be qualified to receive bonus points for such.

5. Submit link to GOOGLE CLASSROOM.

Be guided by the TRANSMUTATION table below to know the possible scores you'll get depending on the rating indicated in the rubric above. This task is worth 100 points.

CONGRATULATIONS!

YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THE TASKS FOR THE WEEK.

THOUGHTS TO PONDER

Our liking to music varies because it is also connected to our personality, somehow. True indeed that music and art may have some therapeutic effect on a person. However, what is therapy to one does not have to be true to another. Which is why we try to learn to evaluate music as in the same manner, we also evaluate people and the way they connect to the society and even to himself. How we live with music each day is reflective of our mood; of the certain notes we are willing to share and those we keep to ourselves.
