ART IN THE 20TH CENTURY

Arguably the most eventful period in the history of art, the 20th century witnessed the birth (foreshadowed at the end of the 19th century) and outgrowth of abstraction, along with innumerable movements that came and went amidst radical changes across the globe. Some of most influential modern and contemporary art movements and developments of the century include Fauvism, Cubism, Futurism, Dada, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Minimalism, Conceptual Art, Photorealism, and Neo-Expressionism. THOUGHTS TO PONDER

Art indeed is more than entertainment; it goes from self-expression to reflections of a society. Believe me when I say that artists are geniuses. Their minds project so much color, artistry, and wisdom which are put to life through their skillful hands. Because of art, the world we live in is given a glimpse of what has been; to appreciate the beauty of the past is to move forward creating more of beauty's forms. Do not hesitate to express yourself especially when it means well.
