WHAT TO DO
Step 2: Formulating Questions
- Convene with your group or pair and brainstorm about the topic assigned to you.
- Write 1 main question about the topic.
- Write at least 3 sub questions.
- Submit answers to Google classroom.
FOR EXAMPLE
WHAT IS THE EXTENT AND IMPACT OF TOBACCO USE?
- How does tobacco deliver its effects?
- Is nicotine addictive?
- Are there other chemicals that may contribute to tobacco addiction?
- What are the medical consequences of tobacco use?
TEMPLATE HERE!
STEP 3: CATALOGUE
Convene with your group once more.
Talk about possible ideas to search for. Remember, you are searching for researches, journals, dissertations, etc.
Accomplish the catalogue found in the TEMPLATE which you already have started filling in for STEP 1.
STEP 4: OUTLINE & SYNTHESIZE
Now, you are ready to put together the information you have gathered via your catalogue.
Synthesize or combine the gathered information to answer your questions.
Arrange the new concept based on the gathered information in an OUTLINE.
Accomplish the outline found in the TEMPLATE which you've been using since step 2.
Send me the template via messenger so that I could make corrections or suggestions before you finalize and submit.
STEP 5: ANSWER THE QUESTIONS
Now, answer the questions in paragraph form based on your OUTLINE. Write the questions in bold and in bigger fonts compared to your paragraphs.
This is also the time to go back to your catalogue to check which ideas there you can use.
Once you have found it, paraphrase it. Make sure to write the paraphrased paragraph in your catalogue before putting it in your research report.
Do not forget to write an in-text citation in APA format.
NOTE: Browse the template for the additional portions. There is no need to upload it again, you just need to write in your template the additional portions indicated in the original template.
STEP 6: COMPLETE THE REFERENCE LIST
Now, complete your template by writing the references inside the table found at the bottom part of your template. Use the APA format.
STEP 7: LAYOUT YOUR NEWSLETTER
Now that all the needed information are ready, you can put up your RESEARCH REPORT in a NEWSLETTER.
BE REMINDED OF THE FOLLOWING:
Create a LOGO and a BANNER for your newsletter.
Make a TITLE for your RESEARCH REPORT.
This is based from your MAIN QUESTION.
Title could only be a WORD or a PHRASE.
Take note of the components of the newsletter as discussed in the BLOG above.
Paper size: 8.5 x 11 (letter size)
Font size for the paragraphs: 9 to 12
Number of pages: at least 4 (add 2 for more: even number)
Elements to add:
some images but not too many
survey results presented in a table or graph (related to your topic)
FYI section (optional)
