Poetry Reading
Poetry reading is one of the most misunderstood skill among Filipinos. Well, that is understandable simply because English is not our mother tongue. The way Filipinos read poetry is actually patterned to our very own “Balagtasan” – an argumentation in verse which has its own unique rhythm. However, English poems do not use the same rhythm as of “Balagtasan”. Poetry is to be read as if you are talking to the person the speaker of the poem refers to; as if you relay a message.
Listen how your teacher reads the poem.
WHAT TO DO?

THOUGHTS TO PONDER
Sorrow sometimes makes us question almost everything that is happening to us but sorrow makes us stronger. However, there are instances when it is too much to handle, this only means that we need a friend; someone we can talk to, to share our burdens with. Other people are also comfortable talking to strangers especially in the virtual world to vent out all their desperation; as strangers may not judge. If the latter works for you, then go ahead. Sorrow is inevitable, one way or another, it is going to hit us and when it does be strong. Let us call unto our Creator to ease our suffering.
