Celebrate Easter with these delightful Chocolate Cornflakes Easter Nests!
These no-bake treats are crunchy, chocolatey, and perfectly sweet, featuring adorable mini eggs nestled in each one. With just five simple ingredients and about 20 minutes of preparation, they're a fun and easy recipe to make, especially with children.
1 1/4 cups (200 g) milk chocolate, chopped (substitute with white, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate if preferred)
2 tablespoons honey (or golden syrup)
3 tablespoons (45 g) butter (salted or unsalted)
3 cups (90 g) cornflakes
36 mini chocolate eggs
Prepare the Muffin Pan:
Line a 12-hole regular-size muffin pan with paper liners and set aside.
Melt Chocolate Mixture:
Combine the chopped chocolate, butter, and honey in a large, microwave-safe mixing bowl.
Microwave on medium power in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
Coat the Cornflakes:
Add the cornflakes to the melted chocolate mixture.
Gently stir until all cornflakes are evenly coated with the chocolate.
Form the Nests:
Spoon approximately 3 tablespoons of the chocolate-coated cornflakes into each prepared muffin liner.
Press the mixture lightly in the center to create a well, forming a nest shape.
Place three mini chocolate eggs into the center of each nest.
Chill:
Refrigerate the nests for 30 minutes to an hour, or until the chocolate has set and the nests are firm.
Serve:
Once set, remove the nests from the muffin pan.
For serving, you can remove the paper liners or leave them on if transporting or gifting the nests.
